James B. Hanigan, D.D.S., M.S., P.C.
On behalf of my entire staff I warmly welcome you to my practice. I am honored you have chosen my office for your orthodontic needs. It is my desire to provide a unique professional experience for all that encounter my office. To that end, my staff and I are committed to not only creating beautiful smiles that last a life time, but strong relationships that also endure.
Prior to attending an orthodontic residency, I completed a general dentistry residency in the United States Air Force. I practiced as a general dentist for five years prior to specializing in orthodontics, so I feel very comfortable working with your family dentist especially on more complicated multidisciplinary treatment plans.
I received a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin (Hook-em) and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio- Dental Branch. I also completed Masters of Science and Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
I am a decorated veteran of the USAF, a Texas Merit Scholarship recipient, a National Institute of Health Research Fellow and a Honors graduate from the UTHSC San Antonio Dental School. I am one of the founding member and benefactor of the Magnolia Education Foundation. Although I have a number of "hobbies" my greatest joy,and where I like to spend most of my free time is with my wife of twenty-three years, and our three wonderful and charming daughters.
